Ready to Go

Ahhh...only a few more weeks of school. Sadly, I've been procrastinating recently so they'll be harder than they should have been. Dang it! No more procrastinating! I'm ready to go and ace this semester! Pray for me please.

The Festival of Colors was pretty good but not worth the traffic. I brought Riley, Lathan, and Cade. None of them had been before. The lines were way too long and traffic was ridiculous. When we were there and finally got our chalk it was awesome but other than that it wasn't that fun this year. However, here are some awesome pictures we took!

I love these boys. After we went to the Festival of Colors I got to go with Riley and his family to dinner to celebrate Melia's birthday! She turned 17 last week. That was super fun, I love my future inlaws. Afterward I got to show Lori and Melia my wedding dress and veil. I was very glad that I got to do that. Speaking of wedding stuff...I got my cake topper in the mail! It's so cute. What do you think?

Random sad news, BOTH of my black heels broke. One pair snapped in half on Friday and then the heel of my other pair snapped off on Sunday. Because of that I got to go to Kohls with my mom and buy some super cute shoes.

Hope you have an incredible day!

Gotta Love College Parking

Seriously. For anyone that has been to UVU or BYU you know that trying to find a parking spot brings out one of the two emotions:

1. You are circling the parking lot FOREVER and finally settle on a parking spot about 3 miles from campus. Afterward you see about 150 people right next to the building you have a class in.

2. You are overcome with joy as you pull right into the parking lot and someone pulls out, leaving the perfect spot for you to take.

Number 2 is what happend to me today. Be jealous.

The past 2 days have been exceptional. I got the Canada skill (YAY!) which means that I get a raise. Not only that, but I can now apply for other positions which I haven't been able to before this. I also got to substitute for the Operators today and that was actually really fun. It's very different from the call center because the goal is to basically transfer the person to someone else as fast as possible, but it was still enjoyable. Plus they gave me some desserts so extra bonus there.

So Riley and I have been kind of looking at apartments to move into in June. Yes, I know it's too early, but hey, I'm excited to move out of the house. A couple of friends have mentioned that they're moving in June so we're looking into that. However, today I was looking at KSL.com (this is not a daily thing, the mood just struck me) and I saw THIS!

...I like it...a lot...I actually love it. I know it'll already be rented out by June but I like places like this. It's a tiny house that has really cheap rent. I wouldn't mind living in an apartment of course, but this seems like a very nice option.

As a final note...RILEY AND I ARE GETTING MARRIED IN 100 DAYS!!! We finally made it to 100. It's only double digits from here on out!

I hope your day is superb! :)

Time Flies!

Is it just me or did this weekend go by super fast? This week feels like it's going to go by fast as well...I hope so! Let time fly until June 30 and I'll be good.

This past weekend Diamond was here. We went to the BYU Art Museum and saw the exhibit Beauty and Beliefs. It was actually really amazing. It's an exhibit dedicated to Islamic art. How awesome is that? I would highly recommend that you go and check it out.

It turns out Riley has a hernia in his diaphram...how random is that? It's not that big of a deal but he'll probably get it surgically removed in April or May. But seriously...how do you get a hernia in your diaphram? I'm very curious how that happens.

Riley got a 90/100 on his Anatomy Midterm! I'm super proud of him. He's been stressing out about it and I think it's great that he did so well. I'm not surprised, he's an intelligent man, but it's still very exciting.

Speaking of tests...I have one in Spanish that I need to take this week. I do like Spanish, but I'm inept when it comes to languages. Math and languages. Thankfully I'm done taking math classes in colleges so we should be good!

Guess what this weekend is? THE FESTIVAL OF COLORS!!! :D :D :D Who is going? I went for the first time last year and it was amazing! Riley has never been, so I'm super excited to bring him with me. For those of you that have never been...go. It's Saturday and Sunday. It's at the Hindu Krishna Temple in Spanish Fork. You buy chalk and throw it in the air and/or at people. It sounds childish but it's really fun.

Other than that we're trying to figure out where to live. We want to move to Wymount about mid-June but when we called they said to call on July 1st...that's the day after we get married. I've had a couple of friends let me know about a couple places but if you know of anyone who is selling their place in June please let me know!

Hope you had a great weekend!

Thursdays Can Be Cool Too

Ah...one more day...and then it's Friday! Although, for a Thursday it should be a lot of fun. Riley and I get to hang out which is super rare! We never get to hang out on weekdays. We're going to Somewhere Inn Time so we can ask a couple of questions about our reception and than check out the suites. Fun stuff.

My mom and I went to a couple of printers yesterday. We went to PG Printers and Digital Pro. Both seemed really good, very different atmospheres. PG Printers looked kind of crazy but they had SO much variety! Plus the lady who talked to us said that she could do anything we wanted. Digital was probably the cutest store I have ever been in. Both know what they're doing...we'll just have to see what type of invitation I want after we get the engagements back. I saw a lot of wedding announcements yesterday and the tri fold actually looks super pretty. What do you think?

Riley and I talked about what we're wearing for engagements. He wants to wear his red button up dress shirt and for the other outfit his plaid green shirt. He looks really good in them so that's fine with me. I'm just trying to decide what colors I need to wear now. I would wear red and green too but I would rather not have Christmas engagements. Any ideas of what other colors would look good with dark red and  forest green?

(I'm pretty sure this is the green shirt he was talking about)

In other news...Diamond is going to be here today! Yay! I am super excited. I haven't seen her for almost 2 years.

I hope you have a fantastic day!

Even During Break it's Busy

Can you believe it's already Wednesday? I don't know about you guys but this week is going by fast! I am very grateful for that. My roommate from Virginia, Diamond, is coming down tomorrow! I am so excited to see her!

(This is a picture of the main hall at Southern Virginia University, just wanted to give you an idea of how gorgeous it is)

This week is the busiest week of the month at work, but it's Spring Break for school! SO happy about that. You know that wall that you hit in the semester? I hit it about 2 weeks ago. This is a nice breather for me. Now I'll hopefully be able to get back into school and ace this semester! Wish me luck. This week also gives me a change to get all the wedding details figured out.

Speaking of wedding details...my mom and I are going to the printer today to talk about invitations. I have a basic idea of what I want. I would like an invite with one nice picture of us with the information at the side of it. Something like this, minus the 3 other pictures in the corner. Is this a good idea or a little too simple?

We're also going to be taking engagements on March 31st. I wish we could do it another time since that evening is Priesthood session but that's the only time Riley and I have open. That's what happens when you both go to work and have school full time.

I am super excited for them though :) We're going to a park in Orem with tire swing, which will be super cute. We'll take pictures with that and then have some cute chair and blanket shots. It should be fun. We just have to figure out what on earth we're going to wear. Why is it that the little things about wedding planning can be the ones that stress you out the most? Makes no sense to me.

Still lots to do...I want to get my wedding shoes this week as well. AND it's mine and Riley's 6 month anniversary this Saturday! Time flies.

(Btw...if you see any cute baby blue heels that would work for a wedding please let me know!)

I hope you have a great day!

Update

So...this is my first post...so I kind of want to let everyone know where I'm starting.

I'm currently engaged (Yay!) to Riley Spear and I have been for a little over a month; he proposed on February 4th. We're getting married on June 30th. He is absolutely amazing. He cooks, is romantic, a total sweetheart, very handsome, intelligent, amibitious, and picks up on hints...yes he is a man and has always been one.

 (Dorky picture of us)

So being engaged includes wedding planning. Don't get me wrong, it's super fun, but sometimes it is so crazy! The good news is that all of the big stuff is pretty much done. I have my man (most important), ring, dress (squeal in excitement), photographer, temple booked, reception center, colors, and the Honeymoon. We're taking engagements on March 31st. I am stoked!

I am still trying to figure out centerpieces...I want photographs involved...any ideas?

I also have the best group of gal pals in the world. We actually just had a slumber party at my house on Saturday so that was super fun. My friend Brianne is engaged, McCall is waiting for her missionary, Kellie is turning in her mission papers, and Sara is well on her way to becoming an amazing chef! Carmen and Ashley couldn't make it...which was sad. But we still love them. Carmen is the sweetest girl you'll ever meet and loves making movies. Ashley is married to an amazing man named Tom. Love my friends!

Speaking of friends...most of our guy friends are out on missions (which is awesome). One of them, Matt Godfrey, just got back on Thursday! Two years goes by fast. It was fun to talk to him and update him on life. Most of the guys will be coming back between May and July so that will be a party.

I work at Tahitian Noni International. I'm in the call center and I absolutely love it! I applied to be a trainer, so we'll see if I at least get an interview (cross fingers). My team is awesome. We have a blast working here. It's nice to work in a place where everyone is nice and gets along.

Well...that's pretty much it. I get to go teach my juvenile delinquents today so that should be fun. I teach kids up in Springville how to debate. I'm trying to help them become more confident in speaking in front of their judge. It really is an amazing experience. Thanks for taking the time to read about my life. I hope your day is going great!
